Our Mission

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to ending homelessness and housing insecurity in Johnson City. Our mission is simple: we strive to provide safe, affordable housing for those who need it most.

Our Approach

Unity Housing is working to address a critical gap in services by building a Medical Respite Facility in Johnson City, TN.  This facility will support individuals experiencing homelessness who are too unwell for street life but not sick enough for hospitalization. Medical Respite Facilities are research-backed and effective, because they offer a unique healing environment with coordinated care to help residents transition to stable housing and regain independence, while also reducing healthcare costs for the community. Our Commitment

Unity Housing is committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for all individuals. We do not discriminate in the delivery of services, employment practices, volunteer opportunities, board or advisory participation, or community engagement on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, ancestry, religion, creed, age, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, genetic information, veteran or military status, marital or familial status, socioeconomic status, housing status, immigration status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.

We recognize that individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability often face stigma, discrimination, and barriers to accessing services. Unity Housing is committed to treating every person with dignity, compassion, and respect, regardless of where they live or their current housing circumstances. We strive to create equitable opportunities, reduce barriers to care and housing, and foster an environment where all individuals feel safe, valued, and empowered to participate fully in our programs and community.
